The Stanwood-Camano Rotary Club
Every Rotary club is unique. It reflects its members and the community it exists in. While some businesses strive for every store to be the same Rotary strives to reflect the unique qualities of everywhere it is. If you don't think Rotary is for you chances are you are not involved in it.

What to Expect...
The most important aspect of this orientation is to provide you with both the rewards as well as the expectations that accompany your induction into Rotary.
Attendance... Rotary views attendance as essential to creating and maintaining an effective cohesive membership. A weekly commitment to Rotary is viewed as an integral part of one’s business and personal life style. Four missed meetings in a row - potentially subject you to being dropped
Missing 40% of scheduled meetings each six (6) months - same as above

Make-up meetings at other clubs, or online, are an important way to keep attendance on track as well as an opportunity to meet other Rotarians. Board meetings, Firesides & New member orientations count as make-ups for missed meetings.

Make-up meetings must occur two weeks before or after missed meeting.

Location of club meetings anywhere in the world is available from the club’s secretary, or via the Internet on the Rotary International Web Site. You can even make-up on the web!
How do we fund Operations?
The Club funds its operations from three primary sources

Dues /Lunches
Auction
Parade

The auction expectations are to attend, invite generous guests and to procure $1,000 worth of auction items. You will be assigned to a team that will compete against the other auction teams. The auction generates about $40,000 for the club.
How much does Rotary cost?
Belonging to Rotary, attending all meetings, paying fines, eating lunch and attending a variety of Rotary sponsored functions will cost approximately $xxx per year, or $xx per week.
First Year’s Dues are $300 pro-rated to the Rotary Year for new members.
Regular Annual Dues are $200 and include a subscription to the Rotarian Magazine.
Annual billing may include optional contribution to Rotary Foundation for $100.
Lunch is $15 each week, payable weekly. Members are encouraged to pay quarterly for lunch, $125.
