Be A Host Family!
Open your door and you will also open your heart to the world as a host family to a Rotary Exchange Student.
By hosting a Youth Exchange student in your home, you’ll make a young person’s dream come true, and you and your family will share an unforgettable and fulfilling experience.
As a host family, you will:
Provide room and board for up to three months
Supervise the student just as you would your own children
Involve the student in family activities and chores
- Enrich the exchange experience by including the student in family, community, and cultural activities
Host families aren’t compensated financially. The program is run entirely by dedicated volunteers, which helps keep costs low. Exchange students receive a small amount of financial support each month.
Our host families must reside within the boundaries of the Stanwood Camano School District and work as a coordinated team to provide homes for the school year. Typically three or four host families are needed for any one exchange.
